I want to move to California

When my husband graduates from college we want to move to California. Burbank to be specific. Does anyone know how much the average rent is or what the average cost of a house is there?

Where do you live now? California in general is very expensive but Burbank is one of the highest cost of living in Cali. You won't find a house under 500,000 and rent will be at least 1k a month if not more. GL, but prepare yourself now.

Yeah that's a big difference from where i'm living now. I'm in Washington and i play 700 for rent.

I can't give you specifics for that region but I lived in San Diego for a number of years. The average rent was between 800.00 and 1,400.00 for a 2 - 3 bedroom apartment. Houses started around 200,000 but if you want a good neighborhood, look to add another 100K to that. Rent is expensive but everything else is too - food, utilities, gas, taxes .. with that being said, there is NO other place like it in the world and as soon as I can, I am moving back there! If you want to get some prices for rent try looking online at apt.com or renters.com. You really need to do some research too, some places look great but are in the middle of a not so great neighborhood. Good luck!
