What birthweight is considered a Premie?

"Premie" refers to a baby born before 36 weeks. Generally, preemie clothing is for babies under 5 pounds and less that 18 inches? My daughter weighed 5 pounds 12 ounces and fit in preemie clothing but she was 19 inches and too long. Hope this helps!
