I have a neat little story... when i was pregnant with my son. We stopped at a tea house out in long beach california because that day my son wouldn't stop moving so I figure some tea would help. While there, there was a guy holding a fur ball...so I asked to hold her...I placed her on my belly and she began to purr...my son stopped moving...I took her home that night! When my son was born she would lay back to back with him at night watching over him...during the day she would stay with him...if he had a messy diaper or was hungry she would come out and meow at me. When people would come in to bother him while he was sleeping she would slap them away. As he got older she watched over him more...one time she chased him around the room to clean the dirt off the back of his leg! it was funny. So my son is now five and she still watchs over him.... although her name is angel we call her momma kitty!!

Hi and welcome to mylot. What a wonderful story. Thank you for sharing. I have furbabies too. It never ceases to amaze me the how they can actually care for a human. Some say animals are stupid. OMG they must never have had any. I am convinced my 2 know and understand exactly what I say to them. Congrats to you and your son for having a second Mom to watch over and take care of him.
