How do you feel about your body in pregnancy?

Even though my body is doing strange things and I've added on some stretch marks, I love my pregnant body. I was excited when I started to really show and I love wearing maternity clothes that accentuate the belly. I feel beautiful and womanly. How do you feel about what pregnancy has done to your body?

To be honest, I really didn't like being pregnant. I'm a very petite person (5 feet tall, 97 pounds), so gaining an extra 30 pounds really put a strain on me. By the end of the pregnancies, my husband would have to help me get in and out of bed or on and off the couch. I hated being so dependent on him to help me do things that I could normally do alone. Needless to say, after each of my babies were born I was relieved and quite happy to get back to my normal size and to start feeling like myself again.

I loved my body during pregancy, I was always amazed by that fact of a little person growing inside of me. My stretch marks got really bad and now after giving birth they have faded but are still quite deep. My body after giving birth has never been the same as before I was pregnant but I don't mind sacraficing that for my beautiful little boy. :D

Overall, I too love my body when pregnant. I don't mind the stretch marks at all; although maybe I would feel differently about them if there were more of them. During my last pregnancy I had a 'pregnancy mask'. It's caused by & very similar to the line most women get on their tummies in late pregnancy and it can pop up anywhere on the body; mine happened to be on my face. I'm very fair, blond hair, blue eyes & this was so dark someone thought I had been beaten up! It's hard to cover with make-up without looking like a clown. So that was tough. I'm expecting again now, and I can see it starting to show up again. Much lighter than the last time and not as big of an area. But I try not to let it bug me too much. I know now that it will go away eventually and it's not as bad as the serious complications some women face.
