With so many people starting their own home based business it is common for some of them to fail ,but why do they fail? Many home businesses fail because they are burdened down with so much detail work they do not follow up or follow through. Sometimes ,if you get busy you might lose records or forget to call customers back. You need to make sure that you have good follow up skills and to keep files and records of everything. You do not want to lose the number of that important customer or hostess. You might fail if you assume that the sale ends with the delivery of the item. You need to build relationships with your customers. You need to follow up with the customer to see if they are satisfied and handle any problems right away. Keep in touch with them every so often to see if there is anything else they need. You might fail if you offer bargains instead of quality. Sometimes if the price is too low then the "perceived value" from the customer will be low ,too. If you items are of great value then the price should reflect that. Get to know your competition! They might give you their overflow of hostesses when they are too busy! Whatever you do , don't badmouth the competition. Do not wait for the phone to ring. Keep looking for new ways to get the word out about your service. Ask your existing customers for referrals. Give them rewards when they recommend you. When you get a new hostess give them a small gift. Remember word of mouth is your best advertisement!!!
