Is breaking a mirror a sign of bad luck to come?

Are you supersticious? Do you believe if you break a mirror that you are facing nine years of bad luck? Personally, I have broken many mirrors but I have not noticed much in my usual lucky streaks.

i am not really superstitious but my elders often tell me that there's nothing wrong in believing them and that we don't really have to live by the superstitious beliefs that we are taught. rather, these should be used to help us exercise extra care.

I am superstitious. I am a south Indian . As you know India is famous for superstitions. I generally dont believe at the first instance , but situation is what makes me believe , I have experienced it live. You may call it mind set , but I feel at some places this turns out true ...and so I have no other go but believe. I have heard about this one , But I have neither experienced nor watch its effects on other. So I am not pretty sure. This may have some science behind it , but still it yet to be proved. You may call me wired. But I feel in some aspects , its true.....

I dont think you are weird (I think thats the word you meant). You are just very realistically aware about your surroundings. Thank you for sharing.

It is a supertitious belief, made by the elders of olden days to keep their nearest and dearest ones away from getting poked by the broken glass pieces.
