Does charity makes people lazy?

Having worked in the field of social services, I can tell you that there are people who "work" the system, and in many cases they are perfectly capable of working. The vast majority of people receiving benefits, however, are truly deserving of them and could not survive any other way.

That is great news.if the help goes to the deserving nothing is more satisfying than that.

I think helping someone is not bad provided the person asking for charity is incapable of earning himself. In INDIA one can find beggars on every roadside. Yes, to some extent i feel charity does make people lazy.I just help those people those who are physically disabled. Sometimes if you give something to the beggar to eat, he will insist in having monetary help rathar than having food to eat.
