If I measured success in terms of money in the bank, I'd be a failure. No, that is not how I measure success for myself. I know that everyone measures success differently and there is nothing wrong with that. Different people want to achieve different things in life. I measure my success in terms of family. My family is fairly functional and fairly close. My kids are good kids. They have their moments with rebellion, but they have not gotten into any very serious problems. I measure success by happiness, closeness to your family and a feeling of accomplishment. I have not achieved ultimate success but I have achieved a respectable amount of success in those areas.

Now I don't have money in the bank because I often spend too much money per month and I can't save money at all. I didn't think that success=money before, but now I think it is a also good standard to measure success. I think someone is success if he/she can find something enjoyable, although without lots of money. I think the only and wide standard for all of people is money. The more money you earn and the more choices you will get. Now I quit my job, so sometimes I will lack money. Then I am very embarassed to ask some money from my parents. Now I'm 27 years old. I hope I can earn enough money online, but all my friend think that it is impossible.

money and richness isn't really a measure of having success... it's the "how" you get there that matters. for me, my parents who love me the most... always there for me and never left me on my own. my brothers who cared for me all the time. my boyfriend who never left me even if i am hardheaded. these people are the ones who pushed me up when i am falling. believed in me when i have no more belief in myself. they are the ones who helped me meet success... i consider them as my life's success... anne

Proverbs 22:1: 'A good name is more desirable than great riches; to be esteemed is better than silver or gold.' Earning a lot of money may be an acceptable goal, but money does not guarantee a truly successful life. Many people think being famous and living a luxurious life are signs of success. However, at some point in life, most people come to realize that inner peace and soul-deep satisfaction come not from fame and fortune, but having lived a life based on integrity and noble character. Proverbs 22:1 tells us that a person who has lived a good life, his name has not been tarnished with evil practices like corruption and dishonesty, his life was dedicated for others are far more important than acquiring all the things here on earth. As Luke 9:25 says, 'For what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses or forfeits his own self?' In the final analysis, living an honorable life really is more satisfying than fame and fortune.

i measure success by the amount of myself that i know. by knowing myself more and more i know wat i am capable of, i know my weaknesses and i use them to my advantage. i know wat makes me happy and thus i can better use my resources to be happy. money does matter in life as it the manifestation of work. if u have earned a penny by working yourself then you know the worth of money. however, if u do not know ourself you can never value money truly. a true heir of a grand property is the person who is capable to earn his living even if he doesn't get it.
