What do you think of the new show compared to the old show?

I didn't want to watch the new show at first. But, I have come to enjoy it as much as the old one. I just had to stop comparing the two and watch the new one on its own merits. It is odd to hear names given to characters who are not like the old ones, though.

I also didn't want to watch the new show, too, especially when I saw Starbuck. I was pretty mad. But, later on, I continued to watch and I got over that. I think the new show is much better. It's way more detailed and the storylines are more serious and adult. The old show was more of a family show and I liked it, too. But the new show is more realistic.

I agree with you. It was the Starbuck thing that threw me off at first. But, after watching it some, I'm hooked. I, too, enjoy the more in depth storylines and details. And, the way they are portraying the Cylons is cool, too.

I haven't really seen the original version of this series but i got hooked on this when i saw the new one. I think it's much cooler even though i haven't seen the old version. I think it's cool too because Starbuck is female and is such a strong character too.

If you were to say to me Battlestar Galactica I would think of the old show, the new shoe is ok just as long as you do not compare it to the old one.
The old series did not center around the human race as being the only race in the galaxy and everything that happens is the fault of humans. The old series had the feel that the human race was more technologically advanced as you would need to be in order to go into space and not like the new series where the technology other than the ships is still at about our current level.
So in my mind if the 2 shows were to go head to head then the new series would not even survive one round up against the old series.

I like very much the new show, it is more realistic then the older one, and the action is more complex.

i try not to watch the new version, but what can i say is i like the movie...only it lack here and there compare to the original version...so for those who watch the original version 20 years back like me, it's dissapointing....well, what can i do? I still enjoy the action...can't wait to watch the new season.
