is cake a fruit or a food???

cake is definitely not a fruit. i consider cake a comfort food. something you eat when its infront of you during parties or when you have the craving for something sweet but not that sweet and at the same time fills you up a bit

Cake is neither a Fruit nor a Food, as you have mentioned by yourself. I should say, Cake is more a Snack, that you can take at the evenings or when you want something quick to fill up your stomach when you are in hurry. But I can say sometimes,even cakes do satisfy the hunger when we dont have anything else to eat immediately. But most of the time, cakes are just for fun, to share our happy moments with our family and friends, to celebrate a victory etc. Thats why, the easy tasks are sometimes said as 'a piece of cake'.
