The known causes of cracked heels are primarily attributed to the following and they are: 1. The skin prone to allergy or 'sensitive' skin. 2. A person's excessive weight which can lead to the skin getting 'stretches' that leads to breakage. 3. Cement or mosaic floors with acidic content can cause the heels to crack, and lastly, 'wet feet' when not properly dried can cause the skin to soften and cause cracks. Cracked heels must be treated without delay or bacteria will penetrate into them worsing the condition. This information i got from the magazine, and i wanted to share it to you guyz who suffered from having cracked heels..hope it can help you get rid of this..have a great day and thanks for the response..

One of he best remedies that I have found for this is to use butter-flavored Crisco then put on white cotton socks...go to sleep and they will be improved within 4-5 days of beginning this regiment..... Best of luck....

Hi Cherriemae! Thanks for that information! Am suffering from it currently and have already treated it, though I was quite curious on how I got it in the first place! I was just thinking it was because of the heat! Cheers!

Spending more time in the kitchen. Not keeping clean you feet.As a grandmas remedy taken a little mutton tallow and melt it, then this you can apply to affected parts. Keep clean otherwise more pain and problems.
