Ok this is for everyone who likes to listen to hear say and he said she said crap. There have been rumors and accusations flying around this site since I first joined and frankly its getting old. So for all those who want to know I'm gonna set the record straight about who the hell I am. I'm not here to kiss anyone's a$$ or be liked by everyone. I joined this site because I find it an intresting way of practicing debate on topics I find intresting. I don't care if you like me but you damn sure better respect me. I don't expect to get along with everyone nor do I want to. I don't hide behind my computer and make idol threats and frankly the things said on here don't really effect me in any way once logged off. I use things from this site as a reference in my classes because what better way to study people then be right in the middle of them. There are people who like to make claims and try and slander people I know because they don't sit by and take crap from people. The people who are crying and whinning are doing so because appernetly outside of the net they have no freaking life.
This is the internet people if you are so hard pressed to be liked and popular on here than you have serious issues you really need to address. Frankly I could care less if anyone on here liked me, why, because its not life. When I walk away from this computer I don't for a second think about anything on here. Nothing from these sites has any effect on my life. Outside of a few real friends that I have on and off here I don't really care about anyone on this thing.
Those of you who apperently spend every waking moment worried about what others think of you on here are sad and patheitc and need a serious reality check. Those of you who sit and post things just to slander or defame someone just because you don't like what they said or because they hurt your feelings you too are sad and pathetic. Get over yourselves people, get a damn life. For all of you who are probably gonna rate me negitive for this discussion, thank you for proving my point about how sad and pathetic you are.

"you damn sure better respect me" Excuse me, respect is something that is earned.
"I use things from this site as a reference in my classes" / "Nothing from these sites has any effect on my life" These two statements are contradictory to each other. The minute you take something from this site and use it as a reference in your class it has affected your life in some way.
"When I walk away from this computer I don't for a second think about anything on here" / "I use things from this site as a reference in my classes" Another contradictory set of statements. When you walk away from the computer and use things from the site in your class, you are thinking about things on here.
"what better way to study people" Most true scientists are observers and do not interact on a personal level with the subjects of their study or project.
"For all of you who are probably gonna rate me negative for this discussion, thank you for proving my point about how sad and pathetic you are." This is an assumption. And we all know what happens when you ASSUME. I am sure I don't have to explain that one for you.
After carefully reading your posting, it is obvious that it was written while in a heightened state of anxiety and emotions. So what class is it that you go to. Are you the student or the teacher?

I only referenced your own words. In your classes you may learn about "trigger" words. This is when there is a physical or emotional reaction to particular words. The words can be different for every person. After reading your response, I feel that it is possible I have inadvertently hit one of these words that is a trigger for you. No, I don't know exactly which word it was. If I had been sitting directly in front of you, I would have been watching your face, hands and general body language for quick sudden reactions to any words. Then I would be able to identify which word or set of words there was a reaction to. As for knowing what I know, I have already taken and completed many of the same classes and added many, many years of life experiences to that.

Well if you knew anything about my classes you'd know that they are all computer based. When I say that I use it as a refernece to my class, in our discussion forums we talk about the different ways of thinking and debate. I often point out that I am a member of a website that has constant debate and drama on it. There is nothing contradictory about that, as far as being an observer I'm not a scientist. I am a person who is studying the human mind and how people interact with eachother. This is sociology and psychology at its best right here. There is no heightened emotion in this at all. Outside of being tired and bored when I wrote this there was no other feelings involved. You seem to Assume alot yourself here. Next time I suggest knowing what and who you're talking about before you run off at the text.

Well,I read your discussion twice befoe deciding to respond.Then I realized it does not need to be responded to as it is basically telling people to separate reality from fantasy.To try to "fight" or "argue" on here just does not make sense.A trading of ideas or thoughts is great along with the new and different perspectives.But people,take what you want/need from a discussion and drop the rest!It is not personal!Everyone has the right to their opinion but it is still up to each of us whether we reply or not.As the great(?) William Shatner told all of the Trekkies at a convention......Get a Life!

hhmm I'll agree with that but only to an extent...yes we should take what we want/need from a discussion and leave it at that and yes we are all entitled to our opinions as well as to share them etc BUT some trolls MAKE IT personal and of course the natural human response to that is to speak up...If one slams the crap out of someone on here for their opinion and does it in a totally disrespectful fashion then sure the one who got slammed COULD very well not respond BUT the reality is, 9x's out of 10 we're going to simply to defend ourselves...

I don't understand what has happened here. At one time people could have disputes and still remain calm. Heck I have a couple of friends on my list, that I met while debating with them! Suddenly we go from that to stalkers and jerks out the wazoo that just won't let it go? I don't get it.
I'm not going to lie, I come here to get away from reality, to take a break through out the day. But I don't come to take out my daily frustrations on strangers. THAT, seems to be what these people are doing and only finding that they are becoming more frustrated plus obsessed. To me, they need to seek help and take a friggin chill pill. No, we shouldn’t put that much into what other's think of us here in cyber world, yet we should try to keep a some dignity about our selves at the same time.

Like with anything else I do on-line, this is just something to pass the time while I piss off doing homework for a few more mins. I can't see how anyone can get all worked up over crap on here. I actually get a kick outta making people fustrated and crazy because I just don't understand why anyone would get worked up over this crap. Its funny as hell to me the people that get crazy and start screaming and yelling ( and I know thats what they are doing ) Not one discussion on here has gotten me to the point of actually really giving a damn. Sure there are subjects I feel strongly about but nothing that I'm gonna lose sleep over because someone doesn't agree with me. Life is to short and my time is to important to care about crap like this.

I couldn't have said it better myself. People on here are getting too petty for words. From the people that respond to discussions with erroneous information to the petty disputes, there are some days I just have to leave myLot entirely and do something else. I have never understood how anyone can take something that some faceless person on the Internet says to heart, but I know there are some who do. They have my pity, but I am hard pressed to give them my respect. You, on the other hand have just earned my respect and my admiration just because you have the intestinal fortitude to state the obvious without worrying how it will be received by anyone. You have my vote. I gave your discussion apositive rating, by the way.

Well thank you very much for your honesty and your response. I just got to the point where I couldn't take it anymore. I've always seemed to be the person that says what everyone is thinking but to afraid to say :)

I agree with you. Some people need to get a life. The only reason I got on here was I was killing my electronic Sudoku game.
Once my computer is off, I don't think about this place. It REALLY has no effect on my life anywhere. I take nothing away from here. I have friends elsewhere and could leave here with no problem. I just choose not to LET anyone FORCE me out!
I will probably be associated with you after this response. So be it. I like you and know you have a heart a mile wide. I like who I choose and respond where I like. No star or rating or 'loss of earnings' here is gonna change that.

Well I like you too, and I am a glad to know you and your kindness. You stand your ground and you speak your mind and thats all anyone can ever expect a person to do. I respect you for your values and for your person and I am happy that I can call you a friend. :)

I agree with you on this. I don't understand why people make such a big deal about this place I really don't. I don't see the importance of it at all. I understand the need to want friends but to give something so much power over you is just silly. Don't worry about what people think of you though, their opinion of you doesn't matter. All that should matter is what you think of yourself.

I am me and I like me if you do as well that is great if you don't that is your choice. You ask for an opinion I'll give you mine, if it is not what you wanted to here then I am sorry but then we could perhaps debate it because that is what a forum is for. For my friends who have been kind and respectful to me then I shall respond in kind. The same goes for hateful unkind responses I can also respond the same way. You reap what you sow!

well I think that for some people ranting and raving on here and such is the only way people listen which is sad think also writing can often be taken the wrong way compared to face to face you have no visual clues as to if someone is joking etc. I think its nice to have somewhere to come and talk to people about anything and wish some people wouldnt get so aggressive about it.saying that everyone is different and you cant make peoplle change but my advice if something you read here upsets you that much that you curse and such dont come here its that easy some people like to discuss issues doesnt require arguing
