Annie, I have sent you several messages but no response. I have a feeling you don't get messages anymore. This is a good discussion. Awards: I have received awards for writing stories, journalism, being a perfectionist, perfect attendance at work, and community service with homeless children. Those are the ones I remember.

I can very well believe the one for attendance at work, my daughter received one for when she was in school, for not being absent one day for 5 years! And I believe the one for perfectionism lol! I don't know why they have pm's if it is never working, because I have sent you plenty as well, I am going to start a discussion about it, lets hope it doesn't get deleted. I'm going to send one to you right now because I have sent you one with my personal email, because ours always gets lost.

I haven't got pics as they were a long time ago. 1. I won a thimble competition when I designed a set of thimbles when I was around seventeen years old. I can't think about any thing else, although I used to come either first , second or third at school in cross country running oh and I won second place in the U.K Hindi film song contest out of around 150 ..as the only non Asian candidate that wasn't too bad eh? I was around 26 years of age at the time lol..

That is something to be proud of my friend, and I have heard you sing and I still think after all these years, you still have a beautiful voice!

Well I got one, that I am proud of but I prefer to brag on my daughter and her friends. We are Girl Scouts and these 4 girls earned a Bronze award, the highest award they can get at their level. They planned and created a garden for a local handicap preschool. One girl made dolls for underprivileged kids around the world. I am very proud of them!

And you should be! You didn't say how old they are, but it doesn't matter what age, if children get involved in projects like this, they deserve all the awards and encouragement in the world! Thank you for sharing!

Okay, seeing you asked. My first award was for a pin the tail on the donkey competition. I won a chocolate covered honeycomb easter egg. I won a box of chocolates for a 'name the make a model of the cars in this car lot.' It was a consolation prize by the owner who was a friend of the family. Best actor in my Year 8 play, won a book for that one. Several Best and Fairest trophies for netball. School District diving competition. Grand-final winner for netball and Indoor Cricket. I think that's all of them. LOL. I've been busy!

No more team sports. Netball especially is a tough sport and I'm just not that fit anymore. I do lots of walking, that's my main activity these days.

I received awards at school, college and work the last one was a sort of piece of wood with a thank you note on it for some work i did for where i work. I still have most of the awards i received at school. They mean a lot to me. When i was in school I received things that could be used like pens, watches but never used them I always kept them as good as new. Someone may wonder if u received a pen why don't u just use it, I guess maybe that little pen is not that valuable in terms of money but it is more than valuable in terms thought in terms of meaning. You know something ? When you put effort in something, it is always good 2 feel appreciated.

I feel the same way, my friend, the smallest of things I have received gets saved, and packed away. And my husband is even worse! He still has his primary school report cards!

I have a degree in economics, but my gut is the reason that I'm still in business and if i can give an award to myself it would be for my sixth sense. Don't laugh I got a trophy for singing when i was in primary school! No Annie I asked you not to laugh!

With an award like that I would also be sooo proud! To recieve awards from your spouse, children, and in your case your grandchildren, always leaves us with tears, and humbleness! Thanks for bragging with us Tina!
