Where did your parents get your names from?

My parents gave us as middle names the first names of our god parents, all 5 of us. As for first names they claim we were not named after anyone but I learned much later I had been - my mother's oldest sister. She only changed the spelling on the second of my double first names. In Quebec years ago it was common that all women were named Marie ______.

My mums name is Sandra Anne and my parents decided to call me Cassandra Anne after her, I dont like my name and instead I go by Cassy, it was always so confusing as a kid as dad would call out Sandra and I would go to him thinking that he had said my name!
