Ok so I don't know what it is about Fridays but it seems like every teenager in this state has decieded to go get their license today. I hate the fact the these things actually expire in the first place because to me thats just another way for them to suck more money from me. We spent about 2 1/2 hours just waiting to get his license re-newed and it cost us $100. $75 because at one point he had it suspended and another $25 to get it re-newed. I watched as people got skiped over because whoever was in charge of hitting the button only gave u a 3 second window to get up and run to the counter. It was complete madness. So my question is this are we the only ones who have to go through this everytime we go to get a license or does it happen to everyone?

If you go on a Friday, yes, same here in my state. It's a nightmare. We figured out going on Wed around 11:30am, is the best time, even for driving tests. The staff is in a hurry to go on their lunch. No lie when I took my driving test, the instructor TOLD me how to parallel park! I didn't get half way in and he said, "good" then told me how to get out of it! When the test was over, my paper was marked fine for that part of the test! As for the clerks, apparently they take turns going to lunch and they don't want to leave their buddy over whelmed, so they work a bit harder to get everyone taken care of to thin the crowd. So maybe next time you can try Wed and it will be a bit easier.
