Do you wear contacts, if so, how many hours a day do you wear them?

And how old were you when you started wearing contacts?
I was 16 when I got my first pair of contacts. I had been wanting them for 2 or 3 years and my parents promised me them for my 16th birthday. I remember being so excited and I remembered the cost an arm and a leg for the one pair! Now I get a year's supply (monthly disposable) for a third of the cost that we spent 15 years ago!
My eye doctor always asks me how long I wear my contacts each day. He encourages me to take them out as soon as possible and wear my glasses at home in the evenings--- which I do no problem because my contacts dry my eyes out and by the time I get home I am more than ready to take them out. By that time, I have had my contacts in for 14 hours.

I was 16 when I got mine as well. I started out many years ago with the daily-wear ones.
I usually wear mine about 14 hours a day. I also carry drops when my eyes get too dry.
I had slept in mine when I was a teen and had my blood vessels grow into my iris. THAT caused some discomfort! Make sure you don't sleep in yours unless they were made for it!

When I was a teen I used to sleep with mine in as well. I think at one point I had gone 6 months or so without taking them out. I can't even imagine doing that now! I've never heard of blood vessels growing into the iris! I bet that was uncomfortable. Did it affect your sight? Was it reversible?

Since I wear Toric lenses anyway (they are for people that have REALLY bad vision), the blood vessels made it hard to make my lenses fit right.
Life situations changed and I didn't wear contacts for a couple of years. The problem cleared up and it's all good now.

Yes, I do. I wear them on a daily basis and love them. I first started wearing them in my early teens. I thought they were fantastic, almost like having perfect eyesight.
I first started off with wearing soft lenses. Later, I switched to RGP lenses. These give really good visual quality and are even easier to maintain than soft lenses.
Yeah, I usually wear them for more than 10 hours a day too. Thereafter, I'd get home, take them off and put on my glasses.
