My husband and i have been wanting to give our four children something lasting for their lives. We agreed on giving them a lifestyle based on the teaching of God as this will ground them on the truth and faith we both embraced and wished them to carry on. We started off by encouraging them to read the Holy Bible when they started reading. We almost never missed a Sunday service. We want to instill in them the first thing on Sunday morning is to honour God by worshipping Him in the church. We also attend other church activities together. Everything seems well and according to what we have planned. Not until recently, my eldest son who is entering adolescent, shows some results of our effort on them in this matter. He has been showing signs of disobedience and reluctant to go to church services. We were panic at first. What would had gone wrong? Has he heading another way then that we have led? Thank God in those tense moments, He always kept our heads cool and avoided clashes. We prayed about that. What precious lesson we have learned from this parenting issue is that, we realised that we are not to feed them with dull religious lessons but gently lead them into a lifestyle that acknowledges God in their lives. Now, having changed our strategy, we even play computer games that include fighting demons with them! My son knows all the names of these demons. We always tell them Jesus is the Lord of all lords and His power above all!

I think you have done wonderful job by inducing God fearing character in your children and despite of this, you have found they take less interest in religious affairs and show a little bit disobedience. The disobedience factor is the age factor, and I may remind you that you might have passed such a phase and could remember how you might have dealt in same kind of situation, i assume it would not have been better but the good part of your strategy has worked well, they in future can not isolate the teachings of the religion, you have made them understand and one day they will try to follow your step but you may not concede to the bad habits ,if they try to possess.
