A relationship based on lies is always bound to fail. No matter what the problem, if both husband and wife trust each other, they should be honest in everything. No matter how hard it is to accept the truth, it is always better than believing a lie and learning of it later on. And besides, you would also feel bad if you find out that your better half is keeping things from you. Even if it's the simplest things. It would mean a lot to tell the truth all the times.

I think that speaking the truth is the best thing for any marriage. If you lie, then you continue to lie to cover things up. Think of you lie as a snowball, it keeps getting bigger and bigger until it is out of control. Honesty is the best thing for a marriage. I had something very serious that would kill my marriage today, but honesty then, kept it going. I didn't have to let my husband know the truth but it would have gotten me in the end, instead I told him the truth and seriously hurt our marriage, but we are still together. Your best bet is to tell the truth to your wife, if she truly loves you and believes in your marriage, then she will forgive you. This is just a suggestion and advice and you know what they are worth.
