How well do you know your kids?

I just had the most heart felt moment with out my child even being at home! I decided tonight to listen to one of the songs my daughter commonly listens to on a regular basis. I know me and I know my kids, to the point of, they are attracted to music that expresses how they are feeling. My daughter is almost 13 and sullen, moody, sad and angry before she even wakes. She seems to come under the "lifestyle choice" of "Emo" in the teen culture in Australia at the moment. Try listening to the lyrics of one of your teenagers favourite songs...look how they are dressing...the makeup they are wearing..the friends they are hanging with...their general outlook on life and attitude....Give me your feed back please... I think we are so totally out of touch with our kids these days... Maybe as parents we need to re-group..and work out how to communicate with our kids again...

hehehe...so cool mom! Mothers really feel the same way too. For three weeks, my two girls were on a vacation in the province that was the first time. The house was so quiet and we sleep early of course my husband and my little boy. My little boy used to cry every night before going to sleep asking when will his two sisters coming back. My husband will ask me to give a call to my girls and ask when they will be coming back. We terrible miss them. I used to hug their pillows while sleeping...so cool isn't it?

I think we know our kids as much as they want us too know them. I also think 13 year old girls are still trying to find themselves in this big world and this is a difficult age. I was difficult at 13 and now have a great relationship with my mum dont lose hope danielle. She will come back you are a good person one day she will see this.
