You earn respect by being in a behavioral pattern of showing respect to others . It's such a kind of mutual affair...giving respect and taking respect .

Simplest way to describe to take and to receive the sort of respect you deserve. Thanks.

In general, I am a nice person. I treat others nice and I like to help them. I think if you respect others at first, you will also win their respect.

BE YOURSELF - it is the best way to earn other's respect. They respect you the way you are... who you are and what you are ... so it's better be yourself to earn other's respect. The more you are not yourself, the more people look at you are fake and no respect you.

That is a very realistic point you just made there..be yourself no matter how others look at you. Thank you.

I do notice that some people ignores me and disrespect me too. However, I have managed to earn some respect from the people around me especially my course mate. What I did was I try my best to be outspoken and outperform others in all aspects possible. So much so that people will have the perception that I am a good performer and I am good. When they recognize my ability and skills, they gradually started to respect me.

In order to get Respected, first, you should know how to respect yourself, and second learn to respect others too, the way you respect others, the more you have respect to yourself

it is listening when someone else is talking not gossiping about a former friend is respectful communication playing by the rules in class is a sign of cooperation resepectfully taking care of your sisters clothes that you borrow will show her you are considerate of her things and it just may earn you frequent borrower miles! the simple polite act of holding the door open for a stranger is a way to respect that person.
