Finally, I have reached 9 stars (85/100)!
Ever since my 100th post, I have been sitting at 8 stars and I have been trying so hard to make it 9. My reputation has slowly increased and now I have 9 stars. It seemed to take a while but I am thrilled I now have 9 stars.
MyLot is a great place! Not only do we gat a chance to chat and make friends and ever get paid at the same time, there is also a bit of motivation there to make your posts as interesting as possible so your reputation goes up. Personally, I think that is one of the best things about myLot. It makes it even more fun.
Now, I will be aiming for 10 stars which will be amazing. All the people here with 10 stars fully deserve it because they make some excellent posts. I wont be satisfied until my reputation is 100/100.
Does anyone else feel the star thing is as important as I do? How have you acheived your star? Like myself, are you aiming for 10 stars? If you have 10 stars then let us know how you achieved it.
I feel the reputation/star system is very important here at myLot so I will rate responses to this discussion accordingly.

Hey there Craig~! Congratulation on finally getting your 9~! I was as happy as you were when I first got my first star, and a 9 straightaway. I don't really know how I got my 10. But I do know that all I did was post responses that showed how genuinely interested I was in the poster's discussion.
Personally, when I get one liners for my discussion, I feel that they weren't really interested in my discussion, but just responded for the sake of increasing their earnings. So I guess it applies the same way when we respond to other people's discussions as well. Be honest about your opinion, and try not to be one sided. When you disagree with that other person, make a good argument rather than simply 'attacking' the other point of view. I believe that a 10 star rating doesn't mean you have to agree to everything people say. I don't.

That is an excellent response. I agree with you 100%. Also, congratulations on 10 stars. I can see why people like you have 10 stars because your reponses are interesting and add a lot to the discussion.
People who simply post one liners with very little thought are here simply to make money and do not really contribute anything to the discussion.
I don't really post here to make money. I love the fact that I do make money here but I am mainly here because I enjoy posting.

Hi Craig! Congratulation on your achievement. If you are really determined and work hard you can reach a 10 rating and a 100 reputation. I got my 9 rating when i reached my 100th post and 10 when i was at 127. But my reputation goes up and down all the time. Anyways, Best of luck.

I am not 100% sure what you need to do to improve your star rating. I try to make my posts as interesting as possible. Spelling or grammer isn'y my strong point but I try my best to make all my posts as correct as possible. I also keep up with discussions I start by responding to people as I am to you just now.
I also think that the longer you have been with myLot the easier it is to get a higher rating. It is maybe just me but it appears that people with more posts tend to have higher ratings.

thats cool, didnt realise what my rating was, i guess i should read more about it all. Im on a mission to post as much as i can tonight as im bored and hevent been on for a while lol, im aiming for atleast $1 tonight, i doubt ill do it but ill keep going till i have nothing left to say.
do you upload pictures? i was just wondering if its best to do it in discussions or in the photos section at the top as it says you dont earn from there, so im confuesd.

Congratulations on attaining nine stars. I achieved 10 sometime early last month. I found that replying to people's discussions with relevant and helpful answers, starting new discussions that were popular, and tagging discussions as appropriately as possible helped me to attain this quickly.

Good job for receiving your 9 star from my lot.Although the star rating will not affect your earning but it's important to have a good reputation as my lot member.
To be honest with you,i don't particularly plan to acheive my star.What i did is,try try to write quality post and don't argue if you have any disagreement with others opinion.You can reach them in better way of disagreement instead of argue or being sarcastic.This is only my personal opinion,others might different suggestion .

Hey, Kudos Craig!
The reputation system is pretty lacking buddy, you'll probably notice down raters at some point but it is a good judge. (except for some cases)
But anyway, it's nice to see someone who's happy that they've got a higher star :)
When I first joined I became a 7 (after posting 100) then about a week later it went to 8, stood on that point for awhile and then nine to ten and then someone rated - for some reason or another and then back to ten. :)

very good i am glas to hear that, my star is still tuck at 8, my current earnings are $2.32 at 280 posts is that bad or good? i realy want to earn fast because i want to buy a domain name for my site www.semodders.wmn.cc my website is al about sony ericsson mobilephones it has games and apps for any mobile phones that supports java!! it also has forum so you can discuss anything about mobile phones or go to off topic!! there is alot more to come at my site liek ringtones, wallpapers and screensavers on the way all this for FREE isnt that good?? mylot realy is gonna help me to buy that .co.uk domain!!
