Linux or MS windows / myLot

which OS is the better one? Linux or MS Windows? I think for server level Linux is much better but for end user MS Windows are always preferable. I would like to know your opinio on it.

i have not used linux so no comments on it but i have used windows so i rate it as 5/5 it is cool to operate a windows os

Personally I didn't try on linux before and I think you might be right that windows more on end user and linux for srver.......anyway I will want to try the server one day:)

It depends on but because both have its place. but in general Linux is faster but alittle harder to use. windows anybody can use including 5 year olds. Windows has more driver support but Linux has much much more user support

well dear, it depends on the user whether he / she find it boring or not. For me both the OS are interesting. Windows for its simplicity and linux for its complexness

windows is the best and user easy and it is easy to understand and to use also. where is unix is little hard but it is very secured os.finally in my opinion windows i the berst to use.

Linux is still mostly used as servers, but the developement for home usage has been great. If you are interested in trying a Linux after using Windows, I suggest getting Ubuntu, their motto is "Linux for human beings", which is kinda self-explanitory (sp). www.ubuntu.com
