My friend discontinued the friendship relation.

"Our relationship is more than brother and sister's relation" told a friend to me. But I replied that friendship relation is more tight and good than the relationship of brother's and sister. In result of which he discontinued the friendship. why it happend I could not understand it uptodate. Will you please tell me about the fault in our conversation please.
