But an expensive thing but would last for a long time, or buy things that are on sale but would last for a period of time. Before, I used to buy the cheaper one for the purpose of being frugal. But several times I experienced the cheap thing would be for used for a matter of three used. So I shift to buying the expensive ones, and yet it will really last for a long time. Besides, the quality of the product is higher. This make save more. How about you?

i think this is a case-to-case-basis depending on what items you buy. i experienced buying a second-hand tv from a korean store last 1998 and surpirsingly, it is still working until now. it has not undergone any repairs yet and perfectly working. last christmas, i was thinking in buying a set of lights for my christmas tree from a local chinese store because i learned they were selling cheap items. i bought a set and used it that night. it worked well for three succeeding nights but blasted off on the 4th night. my partner laughed out loud and told me not to buy anymore cheaper items. it's really practical nowadays to be wiser in buying items, while there may be good quality products that are sold ay very low prices yet there are others which do not last long. expensive, new, branded and durable items are still the best!!!

I've found that there are a lot of products that I use where the cheaper product works the same or better than the more expensive product. So in my case, I would say that the opposite of what you say is true. But it really does depend on the product. Sometimes it can be more economical to pay more for a better product.

Well it depends on the item you will buy. If you think you will not use the item for a long time or just a substitute for urgency of some item, you may opt to buy cheaper one but if you tend to use it for long period of time, a branded one is better. As for me say for shirts i am not particular with brand specially if i will just use it at home, but if for occassions i prefer branded. For appliances e.g. electronic items, i prefer buying branded as i have no doubt with the quality and the guaranteed service once i got some trouble and also with electrical safety. I think it is wiser to purchase expensive if for long term use as you save time and money for repairs, you may also lessen you wastes due to low quality of items which might be a junked sooner. For the shoes, i had exerienced buying cheaper one for my school uniform, while coming home rain comes and my shoes give me a pretty smile while walking on the street, and so i walked carrying my shoes coming home. So, now..i hate buying cheaper one for my shoes anymore. I am so ashame to walk barefooted.
