I personally have Tide Free or Tide cold water for as long as I can remember. My kids and I break out in a rash if I change detergent. Does this happen to you?

We use Gain. I simply love the smell. Especially when I was my sheets and dry them on the line, there's no better feeling than getting in to a freshly clean sheeted bed!

I agree a freshly sheeted bed is a great feeling. Thanks for the response.

I use Earth Choice Liquid. I find that a powder always leaves residue and has the habit of making us itchy. Earth Choice is available in Australia and costs around $2 for a litre.

I make my own laundry detergent. It's economical and not harmful to the environment. I've been using it for some time and my family's clothes have been coming out very clean. It ends up costing less than one cent per load of wash. If you're interested, here's the recipe I use: http://natural-products.suite101.com/article.cfm/washing_clothes_for_pennies .

Hi there, I usually use "Palmolive" very good on hands, as for some detergents, which can make the insides of my hands feel itchy...

I use surf exel. It removes the dirt easily. Doesnt foam much, so need not rinse again and again and it doesnt take out the colors. Although priced double to tide i feel it is effcetive and have been using it for the past 6 years
