Have you tried Helium?

I have signed up with Helium.com and I wrote a poem and a short story, but I haven't received anything yet. How do people get paid from helium? If you are a member with helium and you already received something from them, can you please enlighten me with the paying procedures? I had read the FAQ's and it really doesn't explain the procedures except that the higher your ranking is the more you will get. My short story is ranked at number 2 so I really don't know what the paying thing is about. Please... any help would be greatly appreciated.
