Today, I had just introduced my 3 year old son to Fun Clay. Yeah.. a different brand of Play Doh. Actually, the reason I bought it for him was because my purse was pretty dry and he saw this Ferrari model that he wanted so bad. So I distracted him to the cheapest thing I could find. Yup, Fun Clay. I told him that we could make dinosaurs and neat stuff from it.. and fortunately, he agreed! So, the first thing he wanted me to do when we got home, was start working on a dinosaur. My sister is the creative one in the family. I'm more of a thinker. Anyhow, I tried my best and ended up making something looking more like a turtle than a dinosaur but he loved it anyway. So I created him a snail, a pig, a snake and he loved them all.. until he made a very tough request. DADDY. Okayyyy.. now THAT i am not able to do. I ended up making him a snowman/baby sort of figure. Here's the image of it.. with the pig that i thought was pretty cute. I wonder why i didn't introduce him to it earlier. Before this, he's been obsessed with cars and planes. What about your kids? What's their favorite plaything/toy? What do you do with your kids when you play with them? Anything creative? Hope all you more senior parents can help me out.. I'm scared my son will get bored of my ideas.. Do share!

My son's favorite toy is probably his pixter, which my mom got him when he was 1 (he's 5 now). It actually needs to be replaced soon, so I'm keeping an eye on ebay. He also loves to paint, so we do that together all the time, it's so much fun. I send his grandparents some of his paintings all the time. There's also a small clay obsession, but play doh gives me a migraine. I'd love to get him some sculpey or something and let him create with that, then bake it and save it.

Thanks for your response. I don't know what happened to the image of the figurines i made. They were there just now.. anyways, it's in "my photos" if you care to see 'em.. I do painting with my son at times, but it usually ends up on his body then on the art block. :) I need more activities because he spends his time playing with the computer games. (his aunts and uncles taught him). Thanks for the suggestion.. maybe I'll get him a pixter too! :) Thanks for the ideas, once again.

my son loves thomas the tank engine. i really dont know where he first saw that. it's not shown here in the philippines though a thomas movie was on playhouse disney one time. i mean my son literally wants to watch thomas almost all the time. i dont get to watch tv anymore hehe. i 've burned some episodes of thomas which i've downloaded from limewire. i noticed his favorite episodes includes the trains having accidents.

my son like the thomas the tank engine toys too. But he doesn't like to watch it.. even if he watches it, he'll only watch it for 5 mins tops! But when he sees the merchandise at the stores, he won't stop asking for one. I don't know what goes on in that little head of his.. :) Thanks for sharing!
