Women become their mothers, agree?

I also got this statement from the rachel ray episode that talked on nagging. This statement came out that children emulate the environment they grew up in. And especially with girls, they tend to become like their mothers. Do you agree with this statement?

I don't agree. Depends on the child actually. I am definitely not like my mother but I learned a lot from her. Those things that she didn't do or failed to do as a mother, I make sure I do to my children.

I agree with you. I think it depends on the person... at times you should be angry too much because the more you dislike the person unconciously become that person... i learned that through experience.

I guess you are right. As humans, we have the capabilities to think for ourselves. And its our choice if we want to become like our parents. Thanks for sharing.

I don't think so. If the daughter herself don't like her mother's behaviour and she's absolutely won't step unto her shoes because the daugther knows it's not for the best. It's really up to the daughter.

Yes, I totally agree. I can remember as a little girl things that my mama would say or do. My precious mama passed away last September but when I walk by the mirror who do I see? Yep, my mama. I say something or do something and then suddenly stop in my tracks. That was just like my mama. LOL Yep, guess we do become our mamas.

That is so sweet. I am just not so sure, there is part in me that want to become just like my mother but there is also another part that doesn't want to. LOL! I guess this is just normal, I think I do want to emulate her but there are some things that I would like to improve on.
