2d all the way baby! because,1) thats what I am used to 2) 3d graphics are horrible imo 3) 2d doesn't slow your connection down as much

Ah 3D was the best. I liked the graphics - they made the Ogre Lords look like, well Ogre Lords. And the containers were roomier. It was a real problem when I would try 2D briefly and move some stuff around in my chests. Then log back into 3D and go to those containers and find everything is a major league clutter. Since the brought that KR client out they took away my 3D client. :-( Now I can't dance anymore. Also, I converted to the 2D client and got very used to it. Just glad that 3 years after this thread started that UO is still alive and kicking no matter what client is available.

I prefer 2D games online because I have a dial-up connection at 56kb/sec and it takes only a few moment to start a 2D game where 3D games are best for broadband connection users which is available at very high speed as well as high cost.

Yeah, I used to use 56k modem. Now I have cable but I still play in 2D because it used to really annoy me when I lagged in battle and ended up dying :(

Whichever doesn't matter, as long as it's fun, it's good!

Personally I've almost always played using 2D, because 3D seemed slower for me - however, with the most recent updates on the official EA Games servers, 3D is now obsolete, and will no longer work.

I am playing 2D and I have been for a long, long time. I like UO better that way. It has a retro look and I got to admire it that way. After so many years UO is still alive and kicking. And thats cool. I do remember playing it on a dial-up connection, but that is history. Now 3D would not be a problem, but I see no reason to switch to 3D.
