How Does One Survive Boredom?

I write poems when I am bored. But then again, sometimes, the boredom defeats my muse and I end up not writing anything.
Then there's the mall and the opportunity to stroll and window shop. But then again, poverty has made it more depressing these days.
How does one really survive it?
