I am currently starting to look for a house to buy and am wondering what they cost from where you are. I am looking for a house with 2-3 bedrooms.

Geez-- I have a 3 bedroom raised ranched going for about $250K. My neighbors down the street with a barn and an acre are listed in the 400K price range. Even the handyman specials around here about are about 150K

House prices in my area have shot up. My house was only $69,000.00 fifteen years ago and now they say it is work $140,000.00. This is what they are basing my taxes on and I do not think that is right. The problem is that now house prices are starting to go down but not by much. I can't afford to buy a new house now. I am hoping by moving out into another state I will do better on the price of a home. I am looking for a place with a slower life style. I live in Maryland and in some parts the homes are going for over $350,000.00 and that is not even a good view.

It actually depends on location as well as acreage. A 2-3 bedroom house without any property could go for as little as $20,000 or less if it is in the right location. However that same house in a nice neighborhood with an acre can sell for $350,000. Location. Location. Location.

Well if you enough penny to buy then it's good to get that house. If you have a big family then for sure it can accomodate all you out there. Just make sure that house foundation is good.
