Did you know that it is a proven statistice that when following directions- women follow landmarks (restaraunt, shopping mall, tree) and men tend to follow those pesky road signs (Rt. 553, Rt. 49). How many of you agree with this theory? I personally noticed that I do look for landmarks instead of road signs.

In familiar territory I look for landmarks, in unfamiliar territory I do road signs. I'd like to see the data on the study---reminds me of the old time stats where they said that girls aren't as good as boys in math, but girls are better in languages. I wonder if this is more of a byproduct of too many guidance counsellors believing the first (very invalid) assumption. Road signs are more like coordinates and math based, landmarks flow more like language and descriptions....

Thank you for your response. It very well may be more of a byproduct of way too many guidance couselors thier first assumptions.- but since personally I found it to be true- I wondered how others find thier way :)
