Parkour, a philosophy-turned sport that began in France in the 1980s, is now seeing a resurgence across Canada. A growing number of Canadians taking up the adrenalin-pumping pastime, doctors warn there can be serious dangers involved. The objective of Parkour is to get from one point to another, overcoming all physical obstacles in the path. Participants run, jump and vault across various landscapes, including streets, parks and buildings. It involves a lot of physical activity but is not termed a sport. It borrows movements and philosophies from martial arts but is not called a martial art. It is fast-paced, but not competitive. The activity began simply as a philosophy that asserted the body is meant to move. Have you heard of parkour? Do you feel it should be classified as a sport? Does parkour cause more issues than good? Whats you Opinion on Parkour? http://www.theglobeandmail.com/servlet/story/RTGAM.20070619.wbcparkour19/BNStory/National/home

Yes, I have heard of Parkour. Me, I think it's insane to be doing this type of thing. Jumping from rooftop to roof top. But it is very entertaining to watch, I actualy hope I see someone doing pakour in real life. I'd probably just watch in amazement. As for the dangers, the dangers are obvious.
