Most terrifying movie you've seen?

What movie scared you heaps and didn't let you sleep with the light off for a few days? The one that scared me the most was An American Haunting. Anything to do with poltergeists and evil spirits freaks me out because it (supposedly) happens in real life. I don't know if anyone else felt this way, but The Exorcist didn't really scare me! An American Haunting was definitnely enough to freak me out though.

I am sorry, coffeeshot, but I beg to disagree with you. The Exorcist was positively the most frightening movie I have ever seen. I have always been a classic horror movie fan. I don't care for the type with all the blood and gore. Just as in real life, a movie can affect you more if it is somewhat understated.

i would have to say Frailty. It was out about 5 years ago or so, and it was scary because it really could be the truth. if you have not seen it, you should rent it.. it is stuck in my head to this day.. makes you wonder.

With every horror film I have ever seen I have the same reaction. I sleep with the lights on for at least a week. That is why I stopped watching horror films.
