I have looked all over the internet, I have found places that supply the parts. But I cannot find a book that teaches me how to put the parts together and make LED lights. Just a simple how to, that's all. Can anyone in this big wide world help me learn how to do this?

hi, I'm pretty sure that a home made light emiting diode is impossible. what is the application? LEDs are cheap, why would you want to make one?

Good to see you here! I found a ton of info from ask.com but would you believe not a single book! People are making them to use as grow lights. Seems plants don't need bright light just red and blue to grow like crazy. If you go look on ebay for LED grow lights, you will just "poop" when you see how much people are paying for these crappy looking panels! It's nuts! In my search I've made a couple of friends that are with companies that build lights and sell the parts. Besides, I don't know if you're on CIPS but those b*st*rds quadrupled my electric bill and the senate here is like a bunch of drunken monkeys when it comes to important "poop" (like SB650 for an example. I called one of the senators on that, and his reason for voting no was a lack of education on his part. But that's another story. I just want to be ready because when the bill comes up for vote again I'm sure it will pass.) So why do you think it's impossible to build LED lights in the garage?

I think you're talking about assembling a lamp of some kind using an LED as the light source, not the actual manufacture of a Light Emitting Diode(which I'm pretty sure you need some equipment most people don't have). That's what I though you were asking. Apparently I was way off on them being cheap too.
