standards in choosing a partner

Do you still believe in setting 'standards'(i.e. pretty, intelligent, polite, etc.)? Why?
I never had set standards before, yet, I am very satisfied with my bf. It's just that I am happy when I am with him and vise versa. I guess I settled with chemistry rather than standards.

Intrinzic, thats really great news that u r doing really well with your oyfriend. But these things are too rare. Most people go ahead with the thoughts of taking advantage over the other. Thus setting standards is like putting up filters to strain the negetives and thinkg we dont like and then get the best. Yet that does not work too well at times.
I would say u t very lucky and may God bless you with more happiness in life.

yes,I set standards for choosing a partner,such as he must be very tall and thin and looks handsome,it is my ideal type.but to my surprise,when I fall in love with my boyfriend,I can not take those standards into consideration ,of course,he is very handsome really,but he is a little fat,but I do not mind that.haha.
