To formalise a business relationship

I've a supplier in China with whom I've been working for a year now. I'm actually exporting his products to the Indian Ocean Islands and would now like to formalise our business relationship for protection purpose. I'm battling finding the words in English as French is my first language. In my proposal, I'd like to avoid to highlight the word 'protection'. How can I turn my texte?
