Recently I (and some of my friends and family) have been going through stressful times of loss and transition. I have to admit that I have been incredibly anxious during this time, and exhibiting a lot of symptoms of extreme stress. A close friend reccomended I look into some homeopathic remedies to help me manage my stress, and told me about the Bach Flower Remedies, and Rescue Remedy. She even mixed me up a "treatment" so I could try it and see if it was something I responded to. These remedies can be found online or at a health food/homeopathic remedy store. I am intersted to find out if others have had experiences with these remedies. Did you respond to them? What are your thoughts on homeopathetic remedies for stress and other needs?

I'm still on the fence regarding homeopathic remedies. I used to take a certain pill for sleeping, and I swear it worked, but now all of a sudden it seems to have no effect whatsoever. It could be that I've used it too often, so I'm going to give it some time and try again. As for the Bach flower remedies, I'm all for them. While I've found that at times they don't work as well as I would have liked, they have helped me through some hard times even if they are just working because I believe they will (you know that whole panacea effect). I've even used them on my dog with some pretty impressive results. I reccomend Resue Remedy as a gateway treatment. That one is already mixed for you. If you like it and think it works for you then you might want to think about mixing your own treatments. You're lucky to have a knowledgable friend to help you out with this because there are a lot of different flower essences to sort through.

I had heard that rescue remedy can be used on animals and even plants. I have tried it before and I actually do think it has helped me during extreme stress. I agree with you, even if it is the placebo effect, what's important is that I think it's helping.
