Do you have competition with your classmates in studies?

Oh yes, when I was studying. Competition was very intense and I didn't like it at all. I have just a small guy, no ambitions at all.

well... hmp... you have one good point--- competion is much more among gals than guys.. its because guys really doesnt mind if they are intelligent or smart... for them compition is a matter of who's the most famous, strong and handsome..(but i do not generalize them) on the other side... i admit that i really compit with my classmates not because i dont want them to have high grades but because i wanted to know who's the best among us.. i trully believe with my abilities and capabilities that is why i dont let anyone let me down if i know i could do much better than them...its really worthy to have recognitions from theachers when you know you gave your all... unlike hearing your teacher giving some recognition to your classmate while you knew you deserve it more. am i right?

I do not compete much and I do not like to get into it either. So, I just control myself if the urge comes on or something.

I have to admit that, as a human being, I am one of those who fall into Jealousy's trap but have tried to brush it off especially when it gets too annoying or leave me with that "sinking" feeling. Feeling superior characterizes the weak. What one ought to do is to leave that "superiority" behind and think of others as your equal. The poem Desiderata gives me the best advice on handling this issue. Never compare yourself with anyone albeit check if who you are today is the same person as you are yesterday.
