i got so many responses to my husband that i thought id give u a lil more insight into our lives.. shane and i met while we were both travellin around australia. shane's from new zealand, im an aussie. we connected right away, went our seperate ways and he came back to me. hitch hiking from brisbane down to victoria where i was with a girlfriend. we were inseperable since. we continued to travel for the next 4 yrs, fruit pickin for work and sightseein where ever we went. after 4yrs together i fell pregnant... our first child. we decided it was time to settle down so shane took a job working on some orchard down in shepparton where we first met. i gave birth to our first child (caitlin) in shapparton. at 9mths old caitlin got menningococcol septisma, and was flown to RCH in melbourne... we were told not to get our hopes up as they didnt expect her to make it.. 7weeks later we walked out of that hospital with caitlin very much alive and well... she'll be turnin 7yrs old this november.. 2yrs later and still in shepparton our 2nd child another girl (hayley blessed our lives.. by this time i was gettin lonely and wanted to head back home in new south wales.. we didnt know many people down there in shepparton and we were along way out of town so we didnt have alot of contact with people either.. id had enough of it. i was offered a job back home but had to start in a weeks time... i was 7mths pregnant with our third child (jacob), shane didnt hesitate he said if you want to go back home and take this job i'll finish off the season here and come up. we did this.. it was a rough period i had 2 young children and was 7mths pregnant with the 3rd and starting a new job and no support from my husband.. i had to look for a house for us to live in as well as sort something out for the kids... i was so tired all the time i thought id have a nervous breakdown... but didnt.. today we are settled back in my home town with friends and family. shane stays at home and takes care of the kids while i work.. a job i really love by the way. a year ago we took on 2 foster children who had/have a lot of problems but we've perservered and they are now part of the family.. our kids caitlin (6) hayley (4) and jacob (3) and foster kids collin (3) and tae (2) all are settling into their situation. the girls have been great with the new additions to our family, jacob on the other hand had some problems adjustin but is gettin there now.. we muddle through life happy and having our little adventures... everyday is an adventure and thats not leaving home haha... having a sense of humour helps wonders.. i know i havent gone into great detail here but i hope it gives you all a little insight into our lives...
