Snoring

My husband snores, I know it's not his fault, but wow. I never relized before how bad it really is. Especially when he has a cold. Sometimes I actually think he is choking. I have an issue with insomnia anyways, and at 3 am, I have to keep the tv all quiet, he just drowns it out. His snoring has actually woke up our kids. By some form of bad luck both of my cute, sweet, blonde girls snore too. I don't know how many people have a huge aggresion towards snoring in general, but I do. So if you have a comment, blow off some steam, it will feel better tonight!

Your husband really needs to see a doctor about that. Snoring is hard on the heart & lungs. The will do a sleep test then make some suggestions. Someone told my mom if she put a little piece of tape over her mouth when she goes to be that it will force her to breath thru her nose. If she really needed to open her mouth the tape is not that strong that she could. She said it works.

wow thats a good idea, thanks. Do you think if I put the tape on after he's sleeping, it would have the same affect? HAHA

My husband is a "positional" snorer. I'm constantly asking him to roll over from his back to his side and then he stops. He has spent many nights on the sofa because he just won't stop. If you husband sounds like he is choking, you might want to get him checked for sleep apnea, which can be a serious problem. I used to work for a company that did sleep studies to test for sleep apnea and it affects all types of people. Other signs to watch for: ~ waking up with headaches ~ not feeling rested ~ periods of not breathing, then choking sound, gasping for air or snorting sound. Good luck and hope you get some good sound sleep soon!

Thanks, and maybe I should get him checked out, cuz he sounds like he may be hurting himself, and he does wake up with head aches some times. Very good info to know, Thanks Again
