Locks of Love is a non-profit organization that donates hair pieces which we donate. These donations go to children under the age of 18 suffering from long-term diagnosis. We all should be so luck to have the advantage of not suffering from a sickness that leaves us with no hair. Losing your hair might not seem like a big deal because it will grow back. My sister had breast cancer at the age of 31 with in two months of kemo she completed lost all her hair, at times she would hate me because of my hair. She would say rude things to me not because she really hated me it was because she felt different and depressesd. I lost my sister Januray 3, 07 she died more from depression than the breast cancer. I just wanted to reach out to everyone to share that we can make a difference in someones life. You dont always have to do good just for people you know but making the differece is when you give to a complete stranger. Check out the website www.locksoflove.org and click on donations it will tell you how to donate. Thanks again Mylot for hearing me out.

Yes, I have donated my hair before, recently in fact. I like your discussion because someone once made a discussion on this topic and berated everyone with long hair for not donating. Donating should be a choice, and I admire how you brought this to our attention. Donating my hair is something I don't regret. I've lost most of mine due to illness, so while I had it, I was glad to share it. Unfortunately, mine won't grow back and a hair transplant isn't an option.
