OK, two days ago my dad drops his laundry off at my house like it is some kind of laundry service we not even home when he did this. and i called and told him that it may be a few days before I could get to it, I have not been feeling well, and just had surgery almost three weeks ago. I am still recovering, and the trips to the doctor are plentiful, My husband also was injured at work while playing volleyball with the mental patients he works with. Even more trips to the doctors. So, long story short, my ad thinks it will be done for him when he is ready for it to be done. not a moment after, he comes to my house today, while I am not here, he comes and gets his laundry, the he comes back tonight and gripes at me for it not being done. I started doing his laundry for him to save him some money, he does not have a laundry where he lives and would ave to go to the laundry mat and spend quite a bit of money to do his laundry, but I do not charge him for it, just ask that he buys some soap and softener from time to time, he has even stopped doing that. What would you do if you were in this situation?

Ok, I realize that with you and your husband having medical issues and all that this is no time for your dad to be so inconsiderant, but what all has he done for you? This will eventually turn out to be one of those "memories" that you will look back on and laugh about.... Still...shame on your dad!!!

well, I know he is my dad, and has done a lot for me, but right now he is too interested in getting the motorcycle that he is slowly paying off to care about anyone or anything else, this was just the icing on the cake so to speak. He is totally wrapped up in himself. And is on a roll right now.

Next time he complains that it wasn't done, tell him you couldn't find his detergent. You could also politely suggest that if you aren't home, he should feel free to use your washer to do the laundry himself.

I'd stop doing his laundry. He obviously does not appreciate it! First his daughter had surgeory, you'd think that he'd just back off a little and not bring his laundry over and then call you in a month or so and see if you were up to it.How rude! And doesn't even buy his laundry detergent. However I do not know you and I feel bad that you are not feeling well.hope you feel better soon and your husband as well.
