I've heard of that too. Ice water is great. Lately I've been drinking bottled water at room temperature.

well if that's what you're trying to do, good luck :) I am naturally skinny myself and I stopped trying to gain weight many years ago. After 5 winters here I realize I gained 10 lbs LOL it's not much of change, I'm still skinny but see this is what winter makes people eat more. maybe you can do it backwards, don't eat as much in winter, that will work more effective than drinking cold water. By the way what's the occassion? why suddenly you're on a diet :) new gf, maybe? hehe just teasing you!

If you drink about 8 glasses of cold icy water per day, you can only burn 70 calories pay day. If you want to loose weight, this is not much calories, and you can easy be disappointed. Remember, to lose one pound of weight you'll need to burn 3500 calories.

I have also heard that. But you should not bank only on this for losing weight. This will also add to other weight losing techniques. Controlling the diet and having good execise is always the best tip for a weight loss. All the very best..

I actually saw that on the discovery channel once. You burn calories warming the cold water up to body temperature before your body begins digesting/absorbing. I think that goes for any cold food or drink.

lol never heard of it, but I dont think that it will work. Personally, I drink loads of water to gain weight...and the weight that you lose due to chemical reactions occuring in your body will be miniscule. But, some sort of placebo always helps. Good luck to you!
