Fraternity,what makes teenager enter this kind of things?

...i have brother,a member of fraternity...i asked him y?he told me he like to have someone to lean on that will cover him in trouble...someone who could help him if hes in need,i dont think if that will carry him through goodness....oh GOD!!!for you why is that so?
