Hey all My girlfriend has absence-type epilepsy, and is considering going on the rod (Implanon). However, when trying to work out whether it's safe for her to take Zarontin with the Implanon, we've gotten mixed results. Some sites say Zarontin is an enzyme-producing drug and thus weakens the effects of Implanon, and others say it's non-enzyme-producing and thus safe to take. Which is it, anyone know? If not, is there any alternatives to taking Zarontin for absence-type epliepsy that she CAN take on the rod? Besides Valporate, that stuff can screw up your liver something chronic! 'Shady
