I think I'll change my photo and talk about other stuff. I've noticed that pretty ladies (at least the photos of them) get many more profile views. Anyone want to comment. I know I'm leaving myself wide open here. Take your best shot!

Hmmm, you could have a point there...there are an awful lot of models being sported on avatars. I never paid attention to who had more profile views tho, to be honest. However, I have come up with a couple of other reasons that some might have more views than others as a hypothetical: 1. Some folks promote their profiles. 2. Some folks have been here way longer than others. Both sound reasonable to me, but you're probably right, since you've been paying attention while I haven't, lol. Good luck with the new avatar :D

I just saw a profile of a 2-month member that had 2000 (+/-) views and the pic was of a beautiful lady. The profile said, "M".

I'm not interested in that kind of facade. Some of them practice deceit because they want you to think they are a girl by posting a photo that hints of that. I say be who you are. Make you avatar photo something that you like or represent. I think it is more refreshing.

I agree. I may not be so pretty but I'm real. That's my photo and... I'm the kind of guy I would like.

I visit a profile page mostly to verify the nationality of a person. Of course avtars attract me. But avtars having own photographs are much better than the others. No other picture will give the right idea about you than your own picture. Please don't change it.

Thanks, abroji. I will not change my photo. I like who I am. Is that your photo?

What you see is what you get. It's the same every day. One knows how to react to that, I believe. Thanks.

No sir, this is not my photo. It is the photo of a performing Kathakali artist. Kathakali is a classical dance drama of Kerala, a southern state in India. Kathakali is famous around the world in cultural and tourist circles. It has been performed in the UN and many other western venues. I am glad that you are not changing your photo. Thank you very much for the comment.

If I am right I think ladies will post lady pictures and men their own pictures. It is but natural that some get more attention than others. After all each human being has different qualities and traits. We can't do anything with that. It is the way things have been created. It is good that one tries different things for better results whatever the field.

That's too funny but I think there is some truth in it. Not having a picture doesn't put any pre-conceived idea's into anyone's head. I'm on vacation and decided to check MyLot and this made my day! That's why I don't post a picture. That being said, I think I'll upload a picture of cute little pet and see what happens.

My photo/avatar is there because I want the credibility. How much money does Chevrolet spend to get that name in front of people? I believe I have marketable skills that can help others, so I want to be seen that way. Happy Vacation and thanks!

This is a trick that a lot of people try on MySpace to get visitors to their pages and spam them with offers. I have heard it is quite effective until you get caught, however at the same time it raises issues related to morals and ethics. Now on the other hand what you are suggesting is also somewhat hilarious to say the least. So you are leaving yourself wide open to all kinds of comments. Like who are you looking to attract to your discussions anyway? Anyway, this post has some serious connotations and at the same time great for a good laugh. (LOL)
