why can't I like pets, when I love animals

I can't seem to enjoy owning pets. Is it because I feel that I will place them in capttivity when I own them? I don't know. I can pretty much watch animal planet the whole day, but I can't seem to own any pet. I don't like the idea. If you own a pet, how do feel about fencing in animals and not letting free to live freely in nature?

Dogs and cats are domesticated. They choose to live with people in houses because its a better life than they would have outdoors. Why don't you try a bulldog for a pet, they are kinda lazy and make great pets for someone who is worried about not getting them out enough because they are happy sitting on the couch in front of the tv.

My father likes animals but he isnt a good pet owner. He is nice to other peoples animals but he doesnt take good care of his own. He is the kind of person who should never have animals. Right now they only have a hamster and a rabbit which arent much care. They used to have a lot of dogs though.

If they are truely pets they never been able to be free ,So you can offer them a pretty go life style I would think,Sleeping on the couch free meals thats ruffing it to me.

may because you dont give them a chance to get along with you. Its like suitor..when you dont see and observe and go along with him /her youll never love them...

My animals are quite happy living with me. I provide them with all their needs.
