I would never support such a stupid, sexist law. What country is this from? Women are equal to men. They can work any shift in the IT or hospital settings, so why not in any other type of work requiring off-shifts? Why do men think that they can legislate what is right for women?

Karnataka is located in India. Here people found insecurity about women in late nights. So they taken this step. still some people not happy with this decision because they think like you. Thanks for your reply.

I would not support this. I have worked many jobs at night myself. Some of them scarier than others. I think it is a personal choice. Everyone should have their own right to decide where & when they want to work. At the same time, I do think that there are people out there who would target women working on the night shift for certain crimes. That would also largely depend on the type of business, job, & location. I think it is up to the employer & the woman herself, to make sure she has knowledge & tools to help protect herself, or to get help to her as quick as possible, if there were ever anything to go wrong on a night shift.

Why did they ban the night shift for women? Has there been a problem with women working nights or is there another reason? I always enjoyed working the night shift. I wouldn't want to see the night shift banned for women.
