What's your willpower and your faith like? If you were presented with an impossible task, how would you approach it? Would you: A) Give up and say it is impossible.........say that you will wait for the scientists to come up with a cure for a disease that has no cure........wait for someone else to find the answer.......watch TV every day (other do other worse habits) to escape from feeling like there is no answer..... B) Declare that there are no limits, and that it is possible to achieve anything you can dream up What are ways you have exemplified this attitude in your life? I am curious because many of the ways I have succeeded in life is because I don't give up and have an iron will. I am curious how many other people out there have a strong will. And how has that benefitted or not benefitted you. And if you have a weak will, how has that benefitted or not benefitted you?

The approach will depend on the task to be accomplished. If it is within my means, I will take it with pride and stride. However, if it is unaccomplishable beyond reasons and limits, I would not hit my head against the wall. Despite what Napoleon said 'Whatever the mind can perceive, it can achieve', I think it all depends on my ability to achieve it. Why not let the experts handle it instead of we meddling and messing around.

There is something to be said for both ways of managing things. Sometimes I should have given up. But other times, like in healing from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, I would not be well if it were not for the determination to solve something most other people have not solved. I would be on permanent disability instead. But, when it comes to PEOPLE, that's when I need to learn to not be so determined.

My life seems to put things in my world that will challenge me. I have found to communicate the doubt and concern and then to forge forward when others involved are willing. On my own I will enter into a situation and do the best and learn as I go. Have never presumed to know the outcome of anything that I have endeavored to do. The fun has been in the ride and having learned so much it now benefits me at this age. Translates into being able to work for a Temporary service and perform admirably. Earning as I go is a reward in itself. Patience is a virtue and can be learned and utilized in achieving successes. Weak will I cannot talk about. I am driven and Type A. Will be interesting to see what others have to say in this discussion.

Hi and Thanks for responding. It's good that you don't presume to know the outcome. Sometimes I decide what I want the outcome to be, and then force it to happen. But you and me are alike in being Type A.
